Free-Lance Bulldog

Hybrid Origin:  The Free-Lance Bulldog is a hybrid between the French Bulldog and the English Bulldog.

Original Purpose:  The Free-Lance Bulldog is a great companion for the entire family.

Breed Characteristics:  The Free-Lance Bulldog are small dogs, with approximately 16 inches in height with 30-50 pounds in weight. Like their parents, they have large heads with strong, compact bodies. Free-Lance Bulldogs are courageous and loyal, with cheerful dispositions. They are gentle, affectionate, and enjoy being the center of attention. Training may present some difficulty as these dogs show often show stubbornness. The Bantam Bulldogge is what many "Toy Bulldogs" pheno-typically looked like in the early 1800’s when the Bulldog that had been used in previous centuries for bull and bear baiting had been bred down in size to a small bulldog weighing between 20lbs - 40lbs. The perfect Bantam Bulldogge should be of short to medium height with a square-looking head and a strong, muscular body.  The disposition should be friendly, brave, and loyal.  The temperament is to be steady and dependable. Disposition should be outgoing and happy.  While a watchful nature may be expected at home, human aggression without provocation is a disqualifying fault.

Life Expectancy:  Average life expectancy for the Free-Lance Bulldog is 10 - 13 years.
